Abstract del corso:

The course first introduces shortly the Unified Modeling Language (UML) with its different central diagram forms (Use case, Class, Object, Sequence, Collaboration, Statechart, Activity, Component, and Deployment diagrams). A second central topic will be the Object Constraint Language (OCL), a textual sublanguage within the UML. OCL language features for expressing logical formulas, the various forms of collections in OCL and its navigation features will be introduced. OCL and its relevant UML parts will be practically studied on the basis of the tool USE (UML-based Specification Environment). OCL will be applied for metamodeling systems: As an example, the syntax and semantics of the Entity-Relationship, the Relational data model and their transformation are presented.
